1st Northfleet Scout Group hosts a small group of Explorer Scouts who dedicate part of their scouting time to being Young Leaders and helping with the other sections. In addition they have the option every Monday to meet in one of 4 locations across Gravesham District where they can participate in a wide range of scouting activities which promote fun, adventure and challenge both independently and within teams with other Explorer Scouts. 

Members of this section work towards the Chief Scout Platinum, Chief Scout Diamond, Queen's Scout Awards alongside the Duke of Edinburgh Award programme and the Young Leader Belt.
